🌈 Community Guidelines: Inclusion for All

1. Our Purpose

This community is a welcoming space for everyone in Ontario who believes in inclusion, connection, and advocacy.
We are here to share ideas, support one another, and promote positive change in our communities — no matter your background, identity, or ability.

2. Respect and Kindness

  • Treat everyone with respect.

  • Listen with empathy — everyone’s experiences and perspectives matter.

  • Avoid language or actions that could harm, exclude, or stereotype others.

  • Celebrate differences — they make our community stronger.

3. Accessibility and Inclusion

  • Use inclusive language (for example, say “everyone” instead of “guys”).

  • Make sure your posts and materials are accessible — add captions, describe images when possible, and avoid jargon.

  • Respect that people may participate in different ways or at different paces.

4. No Discrimination or Hate

We do not tolerate discrimination, hate speech, bullying, or harassment of any kind — including on the basis of:

  • Ability or disability

  • Race, ethnicity, or culture

  • Gender identity or expression

  • Sexual orientation

  • Age

  • Religion or beliefs

  • Socioeconomic background

  • Or any other part of who someone is

Everyone has the right to feel safe here.

5. Healthy Discussion

  • Debate ideas, not people.

  • It’s okay to disagree respectfully — that’s how we learn.

  • Keep discussions focused on inclusion, advocacy, and community building.

  • Avoid spamming, trolling, or self-promotion.

6. Privacy and Consent

  • Share your own stories — not others’ — unless you have their clear permission.

  • Do not share private conversations or personal information without consent.

  • Protect confidentiality, especially when discussing sensitive topics.

7. Community Support

If you see something that goes against these guidelines:

  • Kindly remind others of our community values, or

  • Contact a moderator/admin privately.

We’re all responsible for maintaining a safe, inclusive space.

8. Continuous Learning

Inclusion is a journey — not a destination.
We are all learning. Mistakes can happen, and that’s okay — what matters is how we listen, grow, and move forward together.

This community is built on respect, empathy, and action.
Together, we can make Ontario a place where everyone — in every community — feels seen, valued, and included.
